PROJECTS
Projects extend my practice beyond the individual artwork into larger ideas that can involve installation, performance, community, research, participation, and technology. Some are established bodies of work with their own histories, while others are still evolving toward public presentation. Together, they reflect my interest in using art not only to create objects, but to build experiences, confront difficult realities, imagine new possibilities, and create spaces for connection, reflection, and change.
ONE GOOD HUMAN
One Good Human™ is a social and creative initiative founded on the belief that meaningful change begins with individual acts of kindness, courage, compassion, and justice. Through art, public engagement, a community pledge, calls to action, and projects such as the In This Art Together™ exhibition, the initiative invites people to recognize their capacity to positively affect another person’s life. Rather than asking one person to change the world, One Good Human asks each of us to change the moment in front of us, building stronger and more humane communities one person at a time.
CITY OF FRUIT
City of Fruit is a deeply personal work confronting gun violence in America and the historical roots that continue to feed it. Inspired by children and others lost to gun violence, as well as seangarrison’s own experiences witnessing and living in proximity to that violence, the work transforms grief, exhaustion, and anger into a call for recognition and change. Moving symbolically from an “entrance” to a “cemetery,” City of Fruit asks viewers to confront what has been planted in America’s foundation, what continues to grow from it, and whether we are willing to pull up those roots and plant something new through action, humanity, and love.

KALEIDOSCOPE’S ENVY
In Development · 2025–present
Kaleidoscope’s Envy™ is an ambitious multidisciplinary performance project centered on the live creation of a monumental 72-foot painting composed of twenty-four individual canvases. Over several hours, painting, movement, an original soundscape, technology, and audience experience converge as the work evolves in real time. Envisioned to incorporate neurological mapping of the creative process and expanded digital documentation, the project explores endurance, instinct, emotion, and the relationship between artist, audience, and creation at an immersive scale.

Kaleidoscope’s Envy extends the act of painting beyond the visible gesture. During the performance, neurological mapping will document the activity occurring inside the artist as instinct, memory, emotion, sound, color, and movement converge across 72 feet of canvas.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
In Development · 2025–present
Arrested Development is a multidisciplinary live performance project examining the tension between America’s stated ideals and the realities people experience within its systems. Through painting, poetry, video, music, and public witness, the work confronts injustice, fear, state power, and the unfinished promise of democracy while creating space for reflection, healing, and civic awareness.
